Colleen Conroy (she/her) created The Accent Collective. She is an assistant professor of voice and acting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She trained first as an actor and then as a voice practitioner at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. She is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Colleen’s accent work has been influenced by the following practitioners and methodologies: Sally Grace, Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Phil Thompson, Andrea Caban, Julie Foh, Erik Singer, Tim Birkett, Elspeth Morrison, Sharpe/Haydn Method, David Alan Stern, J. C. Wells, Jim Johnson, and Paul Meier.
